Shares Space With Conservancy

BROOKLYN BRIDGE PARK — The Brooklyn Bridge Park Corporation, which is creating the new park, has also established a new office for itself and has even gotten into the movie business.
On Thursday, Nov. 17, the park corporation will hold an open house from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at its new offices at 334 Furman St. near the foot of Joralemon Street. In addition to the park’s administrative, security and maintenance staff, this ground-floor space will be shared with the Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy, an allied park advocacy organization.
The open house will include the screening of a new film, New York’s Next Great Park, a 25-minute documentary that chronicles the design and construction of the first phases of the park.
The film was produced by BRIC| Arts| Media| Bklyn and will also be shown on Brooklyn Independent Television. In addition, there will be a meeting of the Brooklyn Bridge Park Community Advisory Council at Borough Hall on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 6:30 p.m. The agenda includes a presentation of the responses received for the city’s requests for proposals to build a hotel and residential development on the edge of Pier 1.
