Focus on Squibb Playground

To create a wheelchair-accessible passage through Squibb Playground into Brooklyn Bridge Park, a representative of the Van Valkenburgh design team measured the current playground gate.

Meanwhile, the playground has been altered and landscaped (above), and now serves P.S. 8 students as a substitute play area between 3 and 6 p.m. The playground is below Columbia Heights opposite Middagh Street.
