Jam on DUMBO Family Festival, Saturday August 20th

DUMBO sounds like the place to be for families with kids this Saturday:

An all day family festival  featuring live music, family yoga, face painting, balloon twisting, arts and crafts along with a community marketplace will take place  from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Archway under the Manhattan Bridge in DUMBO. The line up of kids’ bands includes:

10 a.m.: Bonga! Afro-Haitian Drum and Songs – an all-ages interactive family performance
11 a.m.: The Itty Biddies
12:05 p.m: P for Puppets presents: “One, Two, Tres”
1 p.m.: Rolie Polie Guacamole
2:05 p.m.: Erin Lee and the Up Past Bedtime Band
3:10 p.m.: Still Saffire
4:15 p.m.: The Mini Max Players

As part of “Jam on DUMBO,” a community market place will showcase local vendors as well as mom and pop small businesses.

Sponsors of the event include the DUMBO Improvement District and The Gallery.
