As Hurricane Irene heads towards the East Coast, the National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Brooklyn, New York City, Long Island and the surrounding areas for this weekend.

While it’s still too soon to predict with accuracy, NOAA’s projection shows a decent probability that Brooklyn will be involved with hurricane-force winds Sunday evening.

Symbols:
H: Hurricane – wind speed between 74 MPH and 110 MPH
M: Major Hurricane – wind speed greater than 110 MPH
